The Teacup Higashine is guinomi, it´s a small cup that´s also used to drink sake, the Japanese liquor made from rice, or tea. In the case of tea, it´s to take fine teas such as gyokuro.
The reason why the teacups´re small, is to be able to concentrate on tasting the tea.
